The Vibram FiveFingers® Speed is designed with a reference to classic vintage trainers. The Speed shares the sole characteristics of the Bikila but in a classically retro style. The speed looks good as an all day casual wear shoe you can sneak into the office without too many people noticing.
Built on an entirely new platform, the Speed features a Dri-Lex® covered 3mm polyurethane insole (thickest under the ball) and a 4mm anatomical pod outsole design that offers more planting protection, and distributes forefoot impact without compromising important ground feedback essential to a proper forefoot strike running form.
A more athletic padded collar and topline, a lace closure and Mesh upper for improved ventilation. As with all FiveFingers the Speed is Hand or Machine Washable in cold water, Air Dry.
Fitting Note: The Speed is a lower profile shoe as compared with the rest of the range, it will suit a flat to normal foot better than a high arch / high volume foot. i.e. same length, less volume.
